We are proud to announce that Lucas Oil will once again be backing the 'King of Europe' Andy Carter in 2009. We are also pleased that many of our associate sponsors have also already agreed to continue their marketing partnerships in 09.
In addition to the full FIA European Top Fuel Championship we also have a busy show schedule lined up to get Lucas Oil and our associate sponsors brands / products in front of the masses. This will kick off at the 2009 Nec Autosport Show in January, where the Lucas Oil Top Fuel Dragster will be proudly on display at the Santa Pod Raceway Stand.

Andy commented, "No one should be surprised to hear me say that the Lucas Oil / Andersen Racing-Carter Motorsport performance during 08 was tremendous, because it was! Our race strategy was spot on, we showed great pace at every race, went rounds, worked hard and we all kept focused, I'm very proud of the whole team! Racing is all about winning, there are 515 points available in 09 and I will be fighting for every one of those during the season, it's so important that you make every run count. I'm just as hungry as I always am and my goal is 4 Championships, it would also be great to be the first to get back to back Championships. I want to win, the team want to win, my sponsors want us to win, this is really important! We have a great package but I won't take anything or anyone for granted. I must lose some weight, work hard and continue my focus on what I need to achieve for my sponsors and myself in 09. I can't wait for the first round of the Championship and to race in front of my home crowd again. The support is always fantastic and there is no doubt these fans help to drive me on".

Dan Welberry and Andy are still on target to release the book, 'King of Europe' at the Autosport Show. This will happen on the Santa Pod Stand at 2pm on the Saturday. It's been a massive project for both Andy and Dan and they are delighted with the results. It looks set to become a 'must have' drag racing title!
As well as Andy, Dan and some of the team, we will also have special guest Barry Sheavills on hand to sign copies. We will also have new posters and fliers to give away so please come over and say hello.
