Back at Pomona it is race day at the 49th annual Kragen O`Reilly NHRA Winternationals. Andy Carter would line up in round one against Brandon Bernstein in the Budweiser car. It was always going to be a tough race against Bernstein but we always knew anything could happen... and it almost did!

Both cars hit shake and we had a pedalfest! The body panels on the Lucas car came came lose and Andy had to wrestle the car down the track. A great driving job from Andy and he beat Brandon to the line but not quite good enough as the car had crossed the centreline handing the win to Bernstein.

So there will be no fairytale ending to Andy Carters first competitive outing in the NHRA but we have certainly shown that European racers should be taken very seriously!
