Easter Thunderball

The next stop on the Carter Motorsport / Lucas Oil promotional tour was the Easter Thunderball event at Santa Pod Raceway over the Easter Holiday weekend.

This was our first promotional visit to a full blown drag racing event and although there were plenty of spectators on their first visit to a drag race who were all keen to ask about FIA Top Fuel, most people were drag racing fans already and were keen to hear about Andy's first NHRA race at Pomona and our thoughts on the upcoming FIA Championship.

There was also much interest in Andy's book "King of Europe" , Lucas Oil products and the proposed visit to the USA to take part in the Full Throttle NHRA series at the end of the year.

Andy was kept busy most of the day signing autographs in the Santa Pod Raceway hospitality trailer as well as meeting, greeting and signing for the many fans young and old who collected hero cards, stickers and posters from our stand.

Fans will be back at the end of May for the first round of the FIA European Championship to cheer Andy and the team on in the quest for a fourth Top Fuel Championship

The team at the Thunderball was - Andy Carter, Sarah Carter, Albert Carter, Gary Cottingham, Phil Cottingham, Richard Bruton, Dave Whiffin and Paul Hart.
