Rotorstock & The Retro Show

The weekend of the 11th /12th July was another busy weekend for the Lucas Oil / Carter Motorsport promotional team with two shows on the same weekend. Day one was the Rotorstock event for Japanese car enthusiasts, including a round of the European Drift Championships. Day two was The Retro Show featuring cars and bikes dating from the 1930's onwards including such classics as Minis, Ford GT40s, Ford Escorts and Lambretta scooters. Both events were well attended and gave us the opportunity to talk to a whole new crowd of potential drag racing fans. Day one was not without it's problems as the race car deck in the trailer decided to break after we had unloaded the race car and despite many hours having new hydraulic pipes fitted it left us unable to pack the car away properly on Saturday night, despite this, as they say 'the show must go' on and we had a good day talking to visitors and showing them around the Top Fuel car. Fortunately we managed to fix the deck first thing Sunday morning and are very grateful for the help and advice of Darren, John Spuffard and Martin Hill...thanks guys! Sunday was again spent talking to visitors explaining Top Fuel and the range of Lucas Oil Products.
