FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion Andy Carter has officially called time on his campaign to race in the USA at the end of this season:

Despite huge take-up on the draw tickets and the individual pledge scheme, we were not quite able to reach the targets required to achieve the goal. Once more, Andy's fans rose to the challenge and supported the dream in their droves. However, there is no point in trying to race in America unless you do it right and with the required budget. This time, we didn't want to hire a car from a US owner, we wanted to do it with our car, our team and our fans backing us all the way! This is obviously a more expensive way to go racing.

We're gutted that Andy won't be there but delighted that Per and Karsten Andersen will get to realise their own dream and
race with Thomas Nataas who we know will do a great job. We wish you all the very best for the trip and know you'll do an awesome job of representing Europe in the premier class.

We would like to thank all of our fans who backed the scheme, but we would now like to offer you all the chance to get their money back. If you purchased a draw ticket from us, please come and see us at the European Finals where we will happily give you your money back. You will need to provide your ticket stub as proof of purchase; no money will be returned without it. Personal and business backers may also wish to claim their money back and can do so by speaking to Andy in person. However, if you wish to, you can leave your money in the team which of course helps us to go racing!

We are once more looking forward to catching up with all our fans at Santa Pod and we will be doing all we can to achieve the goal of an entire season unbeaten, as well as celebrating Andy's fourth FIA title together.
